What audio formats does Player101 support? Will it accept standard 128kbps MP3 files or do you have to transcode the audio format?

Player101 supports the playback and editing of MPEG1 Layer2 (MP2) and 16 bit PCM (WAV) files. Player101 also supports the playback of MP3 files but does NOT support the editing of these files. The recommended audio format is MPEG1 Layer 2 (MP2) but this is not a requirement.

What are the options for importing audio data?

An entire directory can be loaded with the directory load utility. Player101 can load audio using our standard Backup/Load utility. Player101 also has the ability to import audio from Jones TM and Halland.

Is it possible to route audio with consumer-grade audio cards?

Yes. You should create the second card's playback devices using "Device 2" in the configuration. The next time you restart Player101, it will launch two of the green and black "SB_PLAY" icons. Go into the second one and insure that it's pointed at the correct audio device.
